Hayley Atwell Joins Ewan McGregor in Disney’s ‘Christopher Robin’

How exciting is this?! Hayley was cast alongside Ewan McGregor for Disney’s production of Christopher Robin. Thanks to Variety, we have some information on the project:

“Christopher Robin” follows Disney’s ongoing model of taking animated classics from its archives and giving them a live-action spin, centering on Robin (McGregor), the little boy from the “Winnie the Pooh” series, who is now all-grown-up and lost all sense of imagination. Pooh and his friends reenter Robin’s life to help him find it once again. Atwell will play Robin’s wife.

‘Agent Carter’ Gets Two-Hour Season Premiere

ABC’s highly anticipated new seven part television event, “Marvel’s Agent Carter,” the second action packed series from the creative minds at Marvel, inspired by the feature films “Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger” and “Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” along with the short “Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter,” will debut with a two-hour premiere on TUESDAY, JANUARY 6 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET).

It’s 1946 and peace has dealt Agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell), a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy finds herself stuck doing administrative work when she would rather be back out in the field, putting her vast skills into play and taking down the bad guys. But she is also trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life, Steve Rogers – aka Captain America. When old acquaintance Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper, “Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger”) finds himself being framed for unleashing his deadliest weapons to anyone willing to pony up the cash, he contacts Peggy — the only person he can trust — to track down those responsible, dispose of the weapons and clear his name. He empowers his butler, Edwin Jarvis (James D’Arcy), to be at her beck and call when needed to help assist her as she investigates and tracks down those responsible for selling these weapons of mass destruction. If caught going on these secret missions for Stark, Peggy could be targeted as a traitor and spend the rest of her days in prison – or worse.

“Marvel’s Agent Carter” stars Hayley Atwell (“Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger,” “Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier”) as Agent Peggy Carter, James D’Arcy (“Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World”) as Edwin Jarvis, Chad Michael Murray (“One Tree Hill,” “A Cinderella Story”) as Agent Jack Thompson, Enver Gjokaj (“Dollhouse”) as Agent Daniel Sousa and Shea Whigham (“American Hustle,” “The Wolf of Wall Street”) as Chief Roger Dooley.

Hayley Atwell confirmed for ‘Ant-Man’ role?

COMIC BOOK — While very little is yet known about ‘Ant-Man’, one of the more persistent rumors has been that the film would feature a flashback sequence with Howard Stark, Peggy Carter and a young Hank Pym.

Well, a small part of that rumor has been confirmed today as Marvel Studios is casting a body double for Marvel’s Agent Carter star Hayley Atwell to serve as a stand-in for the actress.

“Casting directors are looking for an actor to work as a stand-in for the actor Hayley Atwell. Hayley Atwell is 31, 5’7 and 112 pounds,” says Project Casting. The candidate they’re seeking should be in Atlanta, where the film is being shot.
